You know how sometimes you just feel blah? Like life is going on around you, and you are just kind of standing there. This is me lately. Don't know why, don't know how. Like I am stuck in a rut. A miserable, ugly deep muddy rut.
The only things keeping me going you ask? Well God for one. If it weren't for my faith in Jesus Christ, I would be so lost. And second my family. My children. My little bits of rambunctious joy. Just one look at one of their smiles or a giggle or laugh can change my mood in a second. I feel so fortunate to be able to run this daycare from my home so I can get to be with them. Work and the kids keep me on my toes pretty much all day long, so a lot of the time I don't have time to feel blah. Which I guess is a good thing. But it is those brief moments( like nap time now lol) when my mind gets to catch up with the rest of me.
So for now I am going to just try to put a smile on my face, turn everything over to God, and when life continues to throw me lemons, I am gonna throw them back and demand chocolate! Until next time........

Busy Busy Bee
Wow. What a week. Things have been super busy. Trips, transitions, and training oh my. ( A little Wizard of Oz humor there lol).
This past weekend we took a trip into West Virginia to introduce Johannah to my husbands side of the family. She was a hit. That is until she got super fussy at the Mullens Dogwood Festival. I think Jamie was a little irked that his sister cut into his airplane riding time.
My husband's family is awesome. I love them all. I got wonderful Mother's Day gifts from them. I just wish we could get to see them more often.
We transitioned Jamie into a "Big Boy Bed" this week. I must say he was pretty darn excited. Especially since it is a race car bed. I just loved the excitement of his voice and the look on his face when Daddy brought it in for him. You would have thought that Jason delivered Diego the Adventurer in person lol.
Oh and the training. The dreadful Potty Training! Why is it that one minute little boys are so excited about using the potty, then the next they refuse? This is an on going process I hope will correct itself in the future.
Well that has been my week in a nutshell. I can't wait to see what is thrown at me this next week. Until next time...............

My First Blog!!
There are a lot of firsts in life, first steps, first day of school, first date, etc. etc. Well this is a first for me. A blog. A journal. A written expression of my most inner thoughts and secrets. Hmmm secrets? I have none. I am a mother. I have no secrets, no privacy, no normal typical days. Everyday is something new. A new challenge or hurdle to climb. And I wouldn't have it any other way. This is my story.
My name is Cassandra and I am a work from home mother of 2. (kinda sounds like I am attending an addiction meeting right?) I guess you can say childcare is an addiction for me because I love kids. Especially my 2. My handsome son Jamie(2) and my beautiful daughter Johannah(2 mo.) They are the loves of my life. My reason to wake every morning. God gave me the 2 greatest gifts he could ever have sent me. Now don't get me wrong, life isn't a big giant bowl of cherries, but having my kids makes it all worth it.
My decision to work from home came after a layoff from my job. I missed being with Jamie and hated that he had to go to daycare. So ta da, I opened my own at home daycare. Now I get to be at home and earn money too. I love it. Jamie gets playmates and mommy, and I get a paycheck. Why didn't I think of this before? Then along came baby #2 Johannah. I am so enjoying getting to see her everyday. Her expressions, her cries, and even the big ginormous blowout diapers that every mother loves cleaning up. Yes. I missed that with Jamie and in some weird way I love doing it.
So this is my everyday trials as a work from home mother. My experiences and happenings written down. So until next time my friends.......
